Sanaa Ouahmane

Six weeks after the first line of code, her site was sending readers to Amazon to buy her book, and she can edit every page herself.

Client
Strategic advisor, board member, speaker and author of Inner Armor, based in Dubai
The Inner Armor book page on a phone: the front and back cover, then the title in crimson serif and the subtitle in light italic.

A light page for a dark brand

Her brand guide named crimson as the main colour, but every example in it was black and linen. I kept her pages light, set the headlines in crimson and saved the dark panels for a few big moments.

The Manifesto page on a phone: the title in crimson serif, her epigraph in italic between two thin terracotta rules, and the edge of a graphite plate below.
  • Mulberry
  • Terracotta
Her palette by how much of her Home, Book and About pages each colour covers, measured from full-page captures. Terracotta is a hairline accent.

Her photographs, never tinted

No duotone, tint or colour filter goes on her portraits. The only shading on a photograph is a scrim under type, where the words need it to be read.

The day the book went on sale

When the book went on sale, I shipped the new order panel switched off. Then one scripted change turned it on across the Book, About and Manifesto pages, so none of them ever showed half a launch.

The crimson order plate on a phone: the cover, then “Order your copy”, a line saying the book is available on Amazon.ae and Amazon worldwide in paperback and hardcover, and an Order on Amazon button.

A passage that sharpens as you read

On her book page, a line in her own words comes into focus word by word as you scroll to it. I kept the effect to that one passage.

In her words

Leadership is not about becoming louder, harder, or less human to survive power. It is about building an inner strength so solid that the world eventually has no choice but to recognise it.

A career record, grouped

Eleven honours from 2016 to 2026 sit on six year cards along a drawn rail, so her record reads at a glance instead of as a list.

The Recognitions timeline on a phone: the rail runs down the left edge and the 2026, 2025 and 2023 year cards stack beside it.

She can edit it herself

After the first version she said, “I have to guess where that text is being used.” So I rebuilt her editor around her five pages, each a list of sections she can edit, reorder or switch off.

What changed

What the site does for her now.

  • Sending buyers to Amazon six weeks in

Work started on 11 August 2026. On 24 September her Book, About and Manifesto pages began sending readers to Amazon to buy the book.

  • She can run every page herself

Five pages built from about 33 kinds of section. She edits, reorders or hides them, and a change she publishes is live in seconds.

  • Readers and enquiries land where she works

Pre-launch sign-ups went straight into her customer list, tagged by source and never duplicated. Speaking and advisory enquiries arrive sorted by type, inside her editor.
